Tara is an eight-year-old girl, a loner whose family moves to a farm from the city to improve the quality of their lives. Once in the country, Tara quickly makes friends with all the animals on the farm.

Everything's fine until one day, her friends start mysteriously disappearing. This makes Tara very sad. Luckily, Tara and the animals have a friend and adviser in the Bird of Light, who talks to them and helps to make sense of it all.

The gameplay is an abstract representation of Tara's search for answers from the Bird of Light.

Bird of Light is an action-strategy platformer with a twist. Place bridge tiles to create paths through levels in the sky, then run through avoiding obstacles in your path. Leap over vast chasms, collect loot, and discover new lands on your journey.

The game blends grid-and-tile based 2D puzzles with traditional 3D twitch swipe-and turn running and jumping.
Carcassonne-style strategic tile placement meets Temple Run turn-run-jump action.

A challenging game that tests the players' logic, memory and skill, the design of the game allows players to come up with multiple solutions for levels as well as multiple pathways within the same level.

Additionally, the level design allows for 'Subjective Difficulty', enabling players of differing skill levels (hardcore as well as casual) to play (read more about this in a Gamasutra-featured blog post by our lead designer here).

Tara's story is revealed via interactive 3D story scenes that can are unlocked as the game is played.
